[Job Description]

We are looking for a mature and motivated Product Manager with multidisciplinary experience to join our ZEPPELIN Crew in Tokyo, Japan. We welcome passionate, results-oriented strategic thinkers, who can identify with Digital Innovation and Service Design.

You will set the strategy, roadmap, and feature definition for an upcoming video platform that we are developing. You will be responsible for guiding the success of the product and leading cross-functional teams that are responsible for improving it.

This position also includes marketing, forecasting, and profit and loss (P&L) responsibilities. Product Manager role is dedicated for bilingual candidates with international exposure and global perspectives.

[Role and Responsibilities]

  • Translate product requirements into implementation plans; prioritize activities based on business objectives and user impact

  • Coordinating internal resources for the flawless execution of the product while ensuring on-time delivery (within scope and within budget)

  • Identify potential risks or challenges and act proactively towards its successful resolution

  • Develop product scopes and targets, collaborate with multidisciplinary Crew members to ensure its technical feasibility

  • Drive product launches including working with public relations team, executives, and other product management team members

  • Evaluate promotional plans to ensure that they are consistent with product strategy and that the message is effectively conveyed

  • Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding

[Requirements]

  • Proven work experience in product management or project management

  • High level of competence, up-to-date with latest industry trends and best practices

  • Familiarity with project management methodologies incl. Waterfall, Agile and Scrum

  • Strong analytical skills and great intuition backed up with data-driven thinking

  • Ability to take initiative and carry effective decision making in a constantly-changing business environment

  • Comfort with, and excitement for engaging with senior executives

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills (in both Japanese and English)

  • Outstanding presentation skills and storytelling to diverse audiences - communities, partners, investors or other stakeholders

  • Excellent time management and planning skills

  • Proven negotiation skills (including ability to resolve disputes)

  • BA/BS degree in a relevant field of study (PMP / PRINCE II certification is a plus)

  • Native level of Japanese and fluency in English is required
